TriviaPlay our fun Haikyuu!! Character Quiz to find out which Haikyuu!! character you are on the Karasuno high school volleyball club. The story follows Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama as they join the varsity team as freshmen. Hinata and Kageyama have a tough time working together, both on and off the court. They also must quickly adapt to the fast-paced action of high school volleyball. Karasuno was a top-tiered program in the past, but that isn't the case anymore. The team has even been nicknamed the "Flightless Crows."
Hinita wanted to start playing volleyball after he watched the Karasuno ace nicknamed the "Little Giant" play in a national tournament on television. While Hinata does not possess the most polished set of volleyball skills, he brings speed and his ability to jump extraordinarily high to every game. The team was coming together but missing some key components. With the addition of Asahi and Nishinoya, Karasuno qualified for the year-end tournament and won the Spring High Miyagi Prefecture Playoffs.
Fun Facts
Did you know the Haikyuu!! creator and artist, Haruichi Furudate also played volleyball in middle and high school? Furudate combined his love for the sport with his talent for drawing to create the series Haikyuu!!. In Japanese, Haikyuu translates to volleyball. The character Hinata most closely resembles Furudate's playing style and also was the first character he developed.
The volleyball matches are so true to life, Furudate has to redraw them if he notices any accidental issues with player rotations. It can take up to four days to draw one spike scene.
