Can You Name The World's National Capitals? Most countries in the world have designated a city as their capital. These capitals often serve as the home for the country's branches of government, as well as its royalty (if the country has any royalty). Some countries, such as Bolivia and the Netherlands, have multiple capital cities within their borders. In contrast, some countries, such as the small Republic of Nauru, have no official capital, but have a de facto capital where the government operates from.

Some of the world's capitals are massive megacities, such as Tokyo, Beijing and Moscow. Others, such as Ngerulmud and Vatican City, are very small and have a population of less than 1,000 people. Still others have been split into multiple regions, whether geographically or politically. Take this fun quiz to find out how many of the world's national capitals you can name!
