When you're the Dark Knight you're going to make enemies. A lot of enemies. Enough enemies to fill an entire asylum. And we're not talking your run-of-the-mill bad guys. Batman's most notorious villains are just as memorable as the Caped Crusader himself. Whether it's a maniacal clown or a half-pint umbrella-carrying millionaire who squawks like a penguin, these crazy criminals know how to capture the world's imagination.

Which Batman villain do you most identify with? Perhaps you have a natural green thumb and can appreciate the way Poison Ivy makes her garden grow. Or, you might see yourself as helpless romantic like Harley Quinn who always stands by her man. Bane is known for his brute strength and Riddler for his mind bending questions. Take this quiz to see which Batman baddie is most like you.

Fun Facts

Batman has entertained comic book fans for generations. He first appeared in 1939 in Detective Comics #27. What sets Batman apart from most other superheroes is that he's not gifted with any superhuman powers. Instead, he defends Gotham using his natural strength and special gadgets funded by his alter-ego Bruce Wayne's company. Along with the comic books, Batman has appeared in numerous movies with various actors depicting him. He's also had a live-action television show as well as multiple cartoons based on his adventures.

Out of all of Batman's villains, the Joker is probably the most famous. He first appeared in comic books a year after Batman debuted. Over the decades, he's had multiple origin stories, but the most common is that he was a criminal mastermind who fell into a vat of acid. This resulted in his green hair and permanent demonic smile. Although actor Mark Hamill is most famous for his role of Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars films, he's equally well-known among comic book fans as the voice of the Joker.
